Among the specific properties of Smart ABS filament are high impact resistance and relatively high stiffness. Compared to classic ABS filament, the “smart” variant exhibits improved processing parameters that significantly reduce the difficulties associated with additive manufacturing using standard ABS. Essentially, this means reduced shrinkage and lower emissions of irritating volatile substances during processing. An undeniable advantage is that the material retains its properties at temperatures as low as -40"C.
Key features: High impact resistance and stiffness while maintaining relatively high dimensional accuracy. High gloss of the outer surface. Reduced deformation ratio (0.5–0.7%). Heat resistance (HDT 85"C). Good interlayer adhesion, especially when using a printer with a heated chamber. Water absorption. Easy post-processing (sanding, drilling, cutting).
