Ergonomic Chair Powerton SIMA The ergonomic chair Powerton SIMA has been designed to best meet the needs of the user and minimise the negative effects of sedentary work on human health. The benefits of ergonomic sitting include increased productivity and efficiency, as the user can focus on their work tasks instead of pain and discomfort. The chair is suitable not only for office environments but also for home offices and for anyone who spends long hours sitting. The construction of the chair uses high-quality materials that ensure durability and long life. The chair features a padded seat and backrest as well as adjustable armrests that help keep the arms in an ergonomic position and reduce tension in the shoulders and cervical spine.
Synchro mechanism
The synchro mechanism allows synchronisation of the seat and backrest movement, so both parts move simultaneously in a 2:1 ratio. This means that when the seat moves one centimetre forward, the backrest moves two centimetres backward. This synchronised movement is adjustable and allows comfortable and ergonomic sitting. It can be locked in four positions. The smooth change of the seat and backrest angle eliminates repetitive strain injuries (RSI) caused by small repetitive movements while working at a computer. At the same time, it prevents permanent static muscle tension by encouraging active sitting and frequent posture changes during computer work.
Adjustment of counterbalance tension according to body weight
The chair features an adjustable mechanism that allows you to set the counterbalance tension according to the user’s body weight. To adjust the tension, turn the right-hand lever under the seat clockwise to increase stiffness or counterclockwise to reduce it. If the user weighs less than average, they may want to reduce the tension for easier movement. Conversely, if the user weighs more, they can increase the tension to maintain proper posture. It is important to correctly adjust the counterbalance according to your body weight to ensure optimal ergonomics.
Seat depth adjustment
Properly adjusted seat depth allows you to sit with your feet flat on the floor, ensuring correct spine alignment and good blood circulation in the lower limbs. If the seat is too short, you will lack support for your thighs, which can lead to poor posture and back pain. On the other hand, if the seat is too long, it may cause discomfort and pressure in the lower back, hips, and legs. Adjusting the seat depth is therefore essential for optimal ergonomics and comfort, especially for users of different body sizes.
Backrest height adjustment with UP-DOWN mechanism
The backrest is ergonomically shaped with prominent lumbar support and can be height-adjusted using the up-down system. It is important to find a height that supports proper posture and reduces spine and neck tension. The up-down system means height adjustment without a separate control handle, with automatic unlocking in the top position and locking in the bottom position. Moving the backrest vertically sets the lumbar support at the ideal height for each user.
Seat height adjustment
Adjusting the seat height is essential for proper ergonomics and comfortable sitting. It minimises lower back and leg strain, improving comfort and productivity. The correct seat height should allow your feet to rest flat on the floor and your knees to form a right angle. The gas lift allows a height adjustment range of 8 cm, and you can lock the seat in any position.
Adjustable 3D armrests
The adjustable armrests provide support for the arms and improve comfort. They can be adjusted in three directions — height, depth, and angle. Height adjustment ensures the correct arm and shoulder position. Depth adjustment changes the distance between the armrests and the backrest, improving lower back support. Angle adjustment allows you to position your arms ergonomically, reducing wrist and elbow strain.
